1. Scope

This policy applies to www.yflighting.net, its public pages, the 2026 online catalogue, download pages, and the self-hosted anonymous traffic analytics provided by this website. The administration area is restricted to authorized administrators and is not intended for public access.

2. Traffic data we collect

We use self-hosted anonymous traffic analytics and do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or comparable third-party advertising analytics. When a page is viewed, the site may record the page path, page title, referrer, page language, viewport size, and User-Agent to understand page views, approximate unique visitors, compatibility, and site performance.

IP addresses: as part of normal Internet communication, the server receives the visitor's IP address. The analytics program immediately transforms it with an irreversible HMAC using a private site secret. The raw IP address is not written to the analytics database or analytics files and is not shown in the admin dashboard. The resulting hash is used only to approximate unique visitors and sessions.

Analytics are used for site operations, troubleshooting, content improvement, and aggregate reporting. They are not used for behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking, sale of user profiles, or building directly identifiable visitor profiles.

3. Cookies, local storage and session storage

Our self-hosted analytics do not use cookies. The analytics script also does not write visitor identifiers to localStorage or cookies.

To remember a visitor's selected Chinese or English interface, the website stores a language preference in browser localStorage. This is an interface preference and is not used for advertising or profiling. Page-transition animations temporarily use sessionStorage to remember navigation direction and transition state; that data exists only for interaction continuity and expires with the browser session.

Visitors may clear browser site data at any time. Doing so does not prevent access to the site's core content.

4. Social media and external links

The website contains links to Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other external services. Social icons are rendered with local SVG assets, so simply loading our page does not itself load embedded tracking resources from those social platforms.

Only after a visitor actively clicks an external link and leaves this website does the visitor enter the third party's environment. That platform may set cookies or process IP addresses, device data, account status, or other information under its own privacy policy. We do not control third-party cookies, processing, international transfers, or account policies.

5. Downloads and online catalogue

Visitors do not need to create a public account to browse the online catalogue or download installation instructions, technical drawings, product specifications, or photometric files. Normal web-server logs may still be generated by the hosting infrastructure; where the hosting provider keeps such logs, its infrastructure policies may also apply.

6. Storage, retention and security

Anonymous analytics are stored on the site's own server, preferably in SQLite; where SQLite is unavailable, a PHP-protected local file store is used. The analytics dashboard is password protected and is not publicly accessible.

The current analytics configuration uses a maximum retention period of approximately 730 days and periodically removes expired analytics records. We apply reasonable access controls, server permissions, and data-minimisation practices, but no Internet transmission or server can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.

7. Sharing and sale of data

We do not sell our self-hosted anonymous analytics data and do not intentionally share that analytics database with social platforms for third-party advertising. Hosting providers, network operators, or infrastructure vendors may process necessary technical data to provide hosting and connectivity.

8. Visitor choices and rights

Where applicable law provides access, correction, deletion, or similar rights, visitors may contact us with a reasonable request. Because analytics are hashed/anonymous and raw IP addresses are not stored, we may be unable to reverse-identify a specific analytics record using only a name or IP address.

9. Children

This website is primarily intended for lighting, architecture, commercial-space, procurement, and industry audiences and is not designed specifically for children. We do not intentionally request personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as site features, hosting, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by revising this page and its effective date. The current version is always available through the Privacy Policy link in the website footer.
